High-quality Voice:
Pico includes support for leading audio codec
technologies that support adjustable rate,
error correction and silence suppression.
These combine to provide the end-user with
a high-quality audio experience that is
unidistinguishable or better than the quality
of an average PSTN phone call.
Supported codecs are: AMR, G.729 A/B
and G.711.
End-user features:
Pico uses the mobile phone’s available data
connectivity options (GPRS/UMTS/HSDPA/
Wifi) to connect to a service provider
operating a SIP-based network.
Pico uses the mobile phone’s existing address
book contacts - no modification needed,
and no duplication of the contacts.
Pico implements its own Call Logs to
display information regarding Dialled,
Missed and Received calls. |
Standards-based Presence capability:
Pico displays Presence information using the
widely adopted SIP SIMPLE protocol (Session
Initiation Protocol Instant Messaging and
Presence Leveraging Extensions).
Pico Presence features include:
Presence subscription, publication and
notification using SIMPLE Presence
Peer-to-Peer messaging and chat (RFC
3428)
Complements Mailvision’s HostLynx 2
service architecture:
Pico is part of the HostLynx 2 Platform, which
was developed to implement, manage and
provision next-generation Voice-over-IP
SIP-based telephony services. |
